Introduction
MSc with a major in Animal Science
Would you like to contribute to sustainable development in our animal husbandry? Then this is the Master's programme for you.
Welcome to a comprehensive programme that gives you the opportunity to learn about how to maintain the importance of animals in our society. Farm animals primarily supply us with food, while our sporting and companion animals provide us with other benefits. Attracting both Swedish and international students, this unique Master’s programme gives you the opportunity to gain the knowledge you need to work as an animal scientist, focusing on domestics animals. The programme is closely linked to research and society and students can construct their own degree programme by specialising in one of the programme’s main areas: ethology/animal welfare/animal protection, genetics/breeding or nutrition/feeding.
After graduation, your Master’s degree will help you work as an animal scientist both nationally and internationally. As well as being able to work in research, product development, agricultural / animal advisory services, you will also have exciting career opportunities in teaching, information and journalism.
