Our Story
Since its inception in 1983, the Methodist College Kuala Lumpur (MCKL) was founded by the Methodist Council of Education. Our campus is strategically established in the heart of Kuala Lumpur.
MCKL’s guiding philosophy is focused on delivering excellent and quality education, which ultimately serves its purposes as an institution for society. As educators, we strive for a caring and nurturing environment through transformative learning and teaching practices, along with upskilling extra-curricular activities. MCKL continues to deliver and build knowledge, skills and attitude to enhance the competency of each individual thus leading to job security in the modern workforce.
Over the years MCKL has been highly recognised for its track record and gold standard achievements of its pre-university and undergraduate programmes, while also being a platinum approved learning partner of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
In 2021, MCKL launched its inaugural branch campus – MCKL College (Penang, Pykett campus), providing greater higher education opportunities and alternative pathways for secondary school leavers and adult learners in the northern region in line with the Fourth Industrial Revolution (IR4.0).
Our mission is to nurture a community where excellence, in all its forms is celebrated and where individuals will make extraordinary differences in the world with strong moral character and academic achievement. The institution seeks to produce quality students who will transform into respectable role models for generations to come, contributing to the advancement of their community in line with MCKL’s vision of being “The Institution of Excellence for Life”

What we believe in
We believe in the potential of all Collegians to rise to his or her calling as stewards of God’s creation. Their time at MCKL should foster a joy for learning, and an intelligent appreciation of the beauty of nature, and the inalienable worth of every human being. This will lead to a life-long passion for making a significant difference to their families, society and the nation.

I never stop growing intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually to fulfil my sacred calling as guide and friend to all Collegians.
I believe in the unlimited and unique potential of each Collegian in my care, and take personal responsibility for ensuring the fullest expression of their gifts.
