Manchester Metropolian University (Manchester Met) is a historic and internationally recognised institution that dates back to 1824. Known for the quality of its teaching, it is also ranked as one of the top 60 universities in the UK (The Complete University Guide 2023).

Manchester Met has impressive facilities, including lecture theatres, seminar rooms and study zones that have the latest technology and specialist equipment. It also home to PrintCity, a 3D printing innovation centre and has an incredible 24-hour library stocked with more than a million books, journals and e-resources*. *Academic year 2020-21

Student Support

Manchester Met has highly experienced staff that offer career advice and free English language support. They also have a dedicated International Office to ensure that international students receive all the support they need to succeed.

Every student at the University is also automatically a member of the Students’ Union, which exists to make sure that students have the best experience they can during their studies.

Manchester has one of the largest student populations in Europe and is home to 90,000 students – including 19,000 international students (Complete University Guide). Manchester Met’s campus is located in the heart of the city centre and is close to world-renowned music, arts, shopping and sports venues, and the second-largest Chinatown in Britain.

All rooms are close to where you will study and near to local facilities including shops, restaurants, cafés, and excellent transport links. You will also find support whenever you need it, from their Residential Life Team to their 24-hour Security Team. Undergraduate students are also guaranteed a place in Manchester Met's University student accommodation for their first year of study, as long as they apply before the annual deadline.

Manchester is home to some of the biggest names in sports, and this has inspired Manchester Met to offer a wide range of sporting activities to students - there are currently 45 sports clubs at the university,
