Study in Estonia: Application Process
Like Latvia and Lithuania, Estonia doesn’t have a central application portal. Instead, you apply to individual schools. Some schools place a limit on how many programs you can apply to in one application cycle, but some schools let you apply to as many as you like.

Requirements vary from school to school and from program to program but this is generally what you’ll need when applying to schools in Estonia:
- A copy of your passport
- High school grade transcripts
- A letter of motivation
- One or more letters of recommendation
- Proof of payment of the application fee (this varies from school to school)

If you’re applying for postgraduate or doctoral studies, you’ll also need to submit transcripts from your prior degree(s) as well as a professional CV. For doctoral studies, you’ll also need to submit an academic CV.
If you’re admitted, keep a hold of your proof of payment of the application fee and your admission letter. You’ll need them when you apply for your visa.
Application deadlines vary from school to school, but you’ll generally need to apply in the spring before you want to start. Once you’ve been admitted, your school can help you apply for your student visa. Some schools can even help you find a place to live.
