Accommodation for students in Luxembourg is normally provided by the schools themselves. For an affordable fee, a student can rent a room from their school. Sometimes these rooms are en suite, but you’ll probably need to share a kitchen. In the US, this type of accommodation is called dorms. In Europe, it's normally called halls or corridors. This type of accommodation normally costs between €350 - €500 (US$410 - US$580) per month.

Healthcare in Luxembourg is some of the best in the world. The government spends a lot of money on running, maintaining and improving the healthcare system and its facilities. However, if you’re not from the EU, the EEA or Switzerland, you’re not entitled to access the system unless it’s an emergency. That’s why you’ll need to make sure that the health insurance you provide to get your student visa is good and provides broad coverage.

As for methods of payment, Luxembourg has a world-leading banking system, you can pay with chip-and-pin and contactless cards as well as your phone all over the country. Sometimes, you can even use cards at market stalls and small boutiques. This is helpful if you choose to shop independently in order to keep costs lower.
