We provide a wide range of accredited educational programs - high school, gap year, undergraduate, and master's degree courses. All programs are taught in English, with the option to take Italian classes for those who want to learn the language. Rome City Institute is also the only Italian institution offering a competitive athletic program with 11 sports available and opportunities to be a part of our professional academy.

Student-athletes get to train and play official games for 9 months, experiencing both collegiate and club competitions. Rome City Institute is a story of success accomplished by hard work and professionalism. An ambitious idea that became a sense of Italian pride at an international level. Combining an international education with playing sports at a high international level, to prepare for a future role in the professional sports world.

Our admission process is straightforward, and it involves three simple steps: the application process, profile evaluation, and admission documents. You will be assisted by our admissions office the whole time and will be guided through each step.

Requirement & Deadlines

Rome City Institute operates a rolling admissions process with preference given to early applicants. In order to meet student visa deadlines, non-EU/EEA students are encouraged to complete their applications at least three months before the start of the semester.

Undergraduate-Program Requirements

• High School Diploma;
• Minimum GPA of 2.5
• (if slightly lower, additional documentation will be required);
• English proficiency (non-English speaker) TOEFL iBT 79, IELTS 6.5, Duolingo 105

Graduate Program Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or at least 96 college credit hours;
• Minimum GPA of 2.5(if slightly lower, additional documentation will be required);
• At least 3 years of experience as a player, coach, or in sports-related positions; English proficiency (non-English speaker)
• TOEFL iBT 79, IELTS 6.5, Duolingo 105.

Students from the European Union (EU) or EFTA Countries (Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Switzerland) can enter Italy with a valid passport or EU ID card and can remain in Italy without a visa for the duration of their studies.

If you’re a non-EU student, you are required to obtain a student Visa type D (Long-stay visa valid for more than 90 days) prior to entering Italy. Student visas in Italy are issued by Italian Embassies or Consulate-General offices in your country of origin. Once you are officially committed to Rome City Institute, our legal department will assist you every step of the way in order for you to get a VISA.
