Open FIESTA Tsinghua University (Open Faculty for Innovation, Education, Science, Technology and Art) was jointly established by Tsinghua University and the Center for Research and Interdisciplinary at Paris (CRI) in June 2015. Open FIESTA Tsinghua University aims to integrate global innovation, advanced study programs, and technology to deliver the best learning experience to students.
Scholarship for eligible students
Outstanding students have opportunities to immediately study in Open FIESTA through graduate candidates exempt from admission exam. Open FIESTA Institution Scholarship is designed to sponsor the students’ tuition fees and part of living expenses. The Institution Scholarship is awarded every year after the entrance. In addition to this scholarship, international students are eligible for many other full and partial scholarships at FIESTA.
Study in the "Chinese Silicon Valley”
Shenzhen is a unique 'Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in China and is the commercial, financial, high tech, and fashion design center of the state. Privileged policy brought Shenzhen rapid growth since 1980, making the fourth high GDP in China at the time. Shenzhen, known as the “Chinese Silicon Valley”, has many industrial clusters, which has an advantageous financial policy. This creates an active and innovative ecosystem, generated by the most high tech startups and companies in the nation, such as Huawei, ZTE, Tencent, Mindray, and BGI.

Tencent, leading Internet platforms in China QQ, WeChat, Qzone, and Tenpay have brought together China's largest Internet community and the third Internet company in the world. Over the years, the number of makers in Shenzhen has been growing. Many of the institutions, including Chaihuo Maker Space, Makeblock, Maker Workshop, have already gained much fame and influence both domestically and overseas.
